Subaru of America announced this month that its sales in October 2014 were the best ever in that month. The company reported a 25 percent sales increase. They sold 43,012 vehicles in October 2014, a massive improvement from the 34,483 sold in October 2013

According to a report from Subaru, the company has now seen 35 consecutive months of year-over-year growth. The report also stated individual models that had record sales. The all-new 2015 Legacy, the Forester, Outback, WRX/STI and XV Crosstrek were among the vehicles to reach the best October ever.

"We have consistently been achieving sales records over the past six years," said Thomas J. Doll, president and chief operating officer, for Subaru of America, Inc. "We would not have been able to achieve our current level of success without the hard work and dedication of our retailers, employees and independent distributors."

"Our sedans and crossovers are generating more and more interest from new buyers by delivering a unique combination of safety, utility, performance and value,” said Jeff Walters, senior vice president of sales, Subaru of America, Inc. “We are particularly pleased with the positive customer reaction to the all-new Legacy which has had its third consecutive best sales month ever."

Tom Wood Subaru has also seen growth in October, according to General Manager Bart Schlosser.

"The sustained growth at Tom Wood Subaru continued in October with 108 new Subaru sales, which was a 28% sales increase versus October 2013. Subaru nationally had a 25% sales increase for the same period. Legacy, Outback, and Forester models continue to be the main drivers of the sales increase."

Schlosser says the Outback is a popular model, and consumers are purchasing the vehicle before they arrive at the dealership.

"Currently 80% of all Outback sales are pre-sold," he said. "Clients are finding it nice that they can order an Outback exactly the way they want it. Yes, they have to wait six to eight weeks for delivery, but truly having the car built the way they want, with the options they want, is worth it."

Tom Wood Subaru now has Subaru Express Service for basic oil changes and tire rotations. The service should be completed within 30 minutes, with a complimentary car wash. While you wait, enjoy a cup of coffee from our 31 flavor coffee machine, soft drinks, water, and fresh organic fruit. Chris Kelly or Keenan Barlow will meet you at Service entrance and start the process of conveniently getting you in and out, and on your way.
