At Tom Wood Subaru, our commitment to the community is deeply ingrained in our values. Throughout the year, we express this commitment through our six pillars, each of which reflects our dedication to making a positive impact on our local environment and the lives of those in need.

1.     Subaru Loves the Earth: Caring for our planet is a responsibility we take seriously. We've partnered with Terracycle to collect and recycle various waste streams, demonstrating our commitment to sustainability. Our efforts include:

·        We are a LEED certified facility (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and the first dealership in the state of Indiana to "Love the Earth!
-         Using water dispensers to refill, reducing plastic bottle waste.
·        Recycling our tires to minimize landfill impact.
·        Recycling our car wash water to conserve resources.
·        Recycling batteries to prevent environmental harm.
·        Utilizing solar panels to power our charging stations and building fans, reducing our carbon footprint.
·        Incorporating energy-efficient features such as skylights, LED lighting, and motion-activated lighting, not only to save money but also to minimize our ecological impact.

   2. Subaru Loves to Help: We believe in lending a helping hand to those in need. Throughout the year, we donate socks and blankets to local shelters like Wheeler Mission, Dayspring, Salvation Army, and Miracle Place, working to provide warmth and comfort to the less fortunate.

   3. Subaru Loves to Care: Our commitment extends to the health and well-being of our community's children. We donate blankets and art/craft kits to either Peyton Manning Children's Hospital or Riley, aiming to bring a little joy and comfort to young patients.

   4. Subaru Loves Learning: Education is a cornerstone of our society, and we are passionate about supporting it. Tom Wood Subaru collaborates with AdoptAClassroom.org to donate $5,000 to Edison School of the Arts. This initiative provides 10 different teachers with $500 each for their classrooms, enabling them to purchase supplies that enhance the learning experience for their students.

   5. Subaru Loves Pets: Our love for animals is evident in our annual sponsorship of the Humane Society for Hamilton County. During the entire month of October, we work closely with them to find loving homes for 31 pets. Tom Wood Subaru provides $100 for each adoption, totaling $3,100, which goes a long way in supporting the welfare of these animals. We also join forces with Pet Friendly Services to host the "Love Them for Life" pet adoption event, bringing together 22 shelters to facilitate adoptions and promote pet welfare.

   6. Share the Love Event: Every year, we host our Share the Love event, a time when we collaborate with charitable organizations that do incredible work. Our partners include Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels, The National Parks Foundation, the ASPCA, and our hometown charity, Miracle Place. During this event, when a customer purchases a Subaru vehicle, they have the opportunity to select one of these five charities, and Subaru will donate $250 in their name. Furthermore, Tom Wood Subaru donates $75 for every new car purchase plus an additional $5 from every customer pay repair order to our hometown charity; Miracle Place!.
