This month, Subaru announced that its 2017 Forester compact crossover SUV will be updated with refreshed styling, new driver safety technology features, and added comfort and styling upgrades. The 2017 Forester represents the fourth model year in the Subaru brand’s five year product cycle and Tom Wood Subaru is excited to offer our customers the all-new Forester.

Subaru has added subtle design changes to the front and rear of the Forester model for 2017. These include a new bumper, newly designed grille, and redesigned headlights. To enhance cabin comfort, Subaru has added thicker door glass and extra floor insulation to reduce wind noise. All 2017 Forester trim levels will get updated heated steering wheels with controls for Bluetooth, audio, and cruise control. Other available new features include memory settings for the seats, as well as a power liftgate.

Subaru also is enhancing its advanced safety technologies with color cameras that provide a wider field of vision and the SUV’s lane-keep assist system has been updated. This next generation of the Subaru brand’s award-winning driver assistance "Eyesight" system also includes radar technology. Also included on the 2017 Forester Eyesight system are steering responsive headlights, lane keep assist, high beam assist, and reverse automatic braking. Fuel efficiency also has been tweaked on Forest models equipped with the 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine to average an estimated 26 mpg in city driving.

The 2017 Subaru Forester is expected to arrive in showrooms this summer. Please contact the knowledgeable Subaru dealers to schedule a test drive or have your 2017 Forester questions answered.
